July LBD Sneak peeks!

Ok here are a few sneak peeks of some of my layouts for the Little Black Dress Kit Club! This is my first month on the Design Team. I was amazed at the amount of product that is in their kit. WOW I had fun working on my first two layouts on Friday night at our crop at the church. Several of the girls were impressed with the amount of goodies that came in the kit and proceeded to go and order the March kit that is on sale here. This was a fun kit to work with and I have a ton of product left to use. Tomorrow I am going to work on another layout and card for the site. I finished an altered project tonight. (Have to take photos of that tomorrow) Enjoy the sneaks!

This layout is a funny layout that you will get a kick out of. We had a surprise 40th birthday party for PD's brother.

Of course I was over the top excited that there was teal and brown in the kit!!!!! Whoo hoo

Back from MIA

Yes I was missing in action for way too long! After we got Ory home from the hospital, we had a normal couple of days. Then we got ready to go on our planned vacation up to the in laws! Just got back tonight! Will be glad to sleep in my own bed tonight. HOME SWEET HOME.

Yes I have been Missing in Action. We had another firsts Saturday at our house. We had to take Ory to the ER Saturday afternoon. Right now I am going to leave it at that because I need to go get ready for work. I will be back tonight and I will share more of our 1st Saturday. I will post pictures also.

My hubby!

I'm just going to leave you with a picture of my goodlooking hubby! Not sure how I got so lucky to catch him. BUT I DID! We are going on 19 years of marriage this year. Love ya Don (sometimes I will refer to him as PD which he is sometimes called around the church which is short for Pastor Don - yes I am a pastors wife!) This would be the preacherman in my title of my blog!

Scrap Time Tuesday!

I think I am going to designate Tuesday as Scrap Time. I will either post something that I have scrapped or one of my friends.
Here is a layout that I put together this past scrapbooking time at church. If you are not aware of this, we get together at church on the 2nd and 4th Friday night to scrapbook! We have soooo much fun. Maybe sometime soon I will post a picture of some of our Friday nights. If you are interested in joining us, let me know. It is open to anyone! We would love to have you.

Nashville Speedway

My son Ory is now in the High School Marching Band. We had one of our first fundraisers on Saturday. I signed up to work at the Nashville Speedway at the Nascar Race.

Now I have NEVER been to a race or seen one.We worked before the race began. The workers for the band were in charge of the Hospitality Tent (private parties).

We scanned their tickets (my job) and the other people placed armbands on. Federated Auto parts was supposed to have 1100 people come and Allied Waste 50. Let me say there are all different types of people that I saw Saturday!

At the start of the race - they had parachuters come into the track - it was pretty cool!




When our shift was over - the man who was in charge of our group asked if a couple of us wanted to go down to the infield where several other workers were. By the time we got down there, the race had started. Now I must say that when they get up to speed - ( which I was told that is aroung 150 - 155 mph) it is VERY noisy. Earplugs a must. It was fun though!




I hope to work the next race in Aug. It is a truck race.

Design Team

I got some really awesome news this week. I was chosen for the Design Team for Little Black Dress kit club. You can check out their site here . I am soooo excited! I can't wait to get my first kit and start designing. Whoo hoo!!!

Starting this blog is a new and big thing for me. My hubby has a blog and alot of my friends have one. They have even said to me that they couldn't believe that I didn't have a blog. Oh well- now I do!

Tomorrow I will tell you all about my busy day today (Saturday). I worked at the Nashville Speedway! (Now that was a first)

I guess you could say that today was the day for lots of firsts!
